Everyone has a well-developed survival instinct, and a person always avoids obvious danger, always prefers less risk to low, for not to lose everything.
The Russian leadership launched a special operation in Ukraine, which led to massive condemnation and powerful sanctions from the West. The words of bloggers, the public and even your personal words were almost the same. “No war”, “no invasion”, “it is really impossible to resolve everything peacefully in the 21st century”, “let’s preserve the sovereignty of Ukraine”, “nothing justifies bloodshed”.
The whole world naturally, predictably spoke the same words, came out to the same meetings and this similarity suggests that the reaction of regular people was easily predicted if they did not have large databases. Why did the Russian leadership take the predictable risk?
Because otherwise it would be worse. This is obvious to any person who is normal enough to think and connect at least a couple of words in their speech.
And now it is the time to find out the completely public, easily confirmed facts that prove it, and draw more informed conclusions, and not to react emotionally.
Ukraine was being prepared for a military attack on Russia, including the possibility of an atomic strike on us.
Ukraine had the ability and desire to create its own nuclear weapons and use them against Russia.
On February 19, 2022, at a conference in Munich, Zelensky announced his intention to terminate the Budapest Memorandum. This is the only document that prohibits the development, distribution and use of nuclear weapons by Ukraine.,,.
In 2015, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov, answering a question about the possibility of creating a “dirty” atomic bomb, said: “We will use all the resources we have, including to create effective weapons”.
Former representative of the Ukrainian mission to NATO, Major General Petro Garashchuk said that Kyiv has the intellectual, organizational and financial capabilities to create its own nuclear weapons..
In 2021, Ukrainian Ambassador to Berlin Andriy Melnyk said on Deutschlandfunk radio that Ukraine needs to regain its nuclear status if the country fails to join NATO.
According to Russian nuclear physicist Alexander Borovoy, Ukraine is capable of creating a “dirty” atomic bomb using the existing facilities, the material for which can be spent nuclear fuel from nuclear power plants that are in Ukraine.
The nuclear power industry of Ukraine is represented by 4 operating nuclear power plants (Rivne, Zaporozhye, Khmelnychka, South-Ukrainian), including 15 power units of various types. Also part of it is the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, which is currently not completely deactivated,.
The operation, reconstruction and maintenance of Ukrainian NPPs is carried out by the state enterprise NNEGC Energoatom, which from 2018 to 2021 completely ceased relations with Russian companies. The main partners of NNEGC Energoatom are American companies and the US government, with which in 2020 the Centralized Spent Nuclear Fuel Storage Facility (CSFSF, “exclusion zone” of the Chernobyl NPP) was built,,,,.
But if you think the hypothetical threat of violating nuclear parity near Russia’s borders does not seem dangerous and real enough, one can look at acts of violence, crimes that have already been committed and which would only raise in levels without a special operation in the Donbass.
The representation of the Donbass issue in the world and even in Russia is not only small, but blasphemously insignificant. Modest and not too numerous Donbass people try to save their psyche from traumatic memories and therefore speak little, as is natural for classic victims of violence. They tend not to carry their grief to the mass media without proper reason. But now they live with the Russians in the same streets, they are neighbors. Just ask them! A small part of them will tell about “Russians dressed up by Bandera”, if someone from the LDNR likes to tell these legends at all. But mostly Donbass people talk about authentically Ukrainian invaders who took away their homeland from them. Мany people in the world and in Russia do not know that in Ukraine for all 8 years there was a huge Luhansk region, Donetsk region, and the sovereign LNR and DNR are the only small parts of the former territories. One of the speakers warned us that “too much will have to be beep sensored,” hinting at his attitude to the bloodshed in Donbass, which in 8 years has not become less acute, less relevant.
The world community simply passes the Donbass issue over the coldest silence, even those Western politicians who cannot be ignorant. They pass it over in silence, because the famous freedom of speech is not really valuable or interesting to them, and Western representation matters only in the children’s cartoon like Encanto, where they finally showed the character that wears glasses. The representation of the suffering and blood of Donetsk and Luhansk is not beneficial to anyone who may be interested in it. The Russians, on the other hand, have a significant advantage: the ability to give a helping hand, to express sympathy to every refugee offline, to learn the truth firsthand.
